“Athens Sunset bike tour”

Enjoy the Sunset City Vibes
Athens transforms during the afternoon into a picturesque paradise and the city’s beauties are presented in a unique golden hour frame. The afternoon breeze and the light of setting sun that glitters in the Ancient Temples and the historic monuments create an amazing must-see scenery.

During this active & fun bike tour you will discover all the main sites in the city center of Athens, hidden locations and breathtaking views! This is an ideal bicycle tour for photography enthusiasts as it is designed to give you the best lighting conditions.

What to expect:

Our journey starts from the biggest pedestrian street of Athens, located a stone’s throw away from Acropolis, where you will have a short introduction about the tour’s schedule.

Equipped with an excellent condition bike for a relaxed and enjoyable tour, we will begin the exploration of the city by visiting the National Gardens, a beautiful and shady place in the heart of Athens. Next, you will ride towards the Presidential Mansion and get impressed by the ceremonial unit of the Presidential Guards. Then, it’s time to discover the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games took place, and to Zappeion hall a magnificent Neoclassical building.

The bike tour will be even more memorable when you stop in front of the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch, which is one of the best photo shooting spots in Athens. We will lead you through the biggest pedestrian area of the city, where you feel like travelling  in the Ancient World passing by the new Acropolis Museum and the Acropolis Hill. Our “secret” spot to enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Parthenon is where the the first part of the tour ends.

During this tour, we do not have a scheduled break. Still, if it is necessary, you can have a 5-minute water and toilet break.

Your journey back in time will continue with some remarkable stops in the Ancient Greek Cemetery (Kerameikos), the Ancient Greek Agora and the Roman Agora.

The tour will end with a visit to the Athens’ Orthodox Cathedral and a lovely ride through the scenic neighborhood of Plaka. In Plaka, you will find plenty of amazing spots to get awesome photos of the Old City, completing your tour experience
